This Privacy Policy explains how ICOpedia (“we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data on icopedia.org (the “Website”). For any privacy request, you can reach us at contact@icopedia.org.

2. What data we collect

• Newsletter subscription: when you subscribe through our footer newsletter form, we collect the email address you provide and the consent you give.
• Usage & analytics data: when you browse the Website, we may collect technical data such as your IP address, device and browser information, pages visited and interactions, through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (see section 4).
• Cookies and similar technologies: see section 5.

3. How we use your data

• To send you the newsletter and updates you subscribed to.
• To measure and improve the audience, content and performance of the Website.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

4. Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics 4

We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage the tags on the Website, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use it. These tools may set cookies and collect data such as your (possibly truncated) IP address, the pages you view and your interactions. The Website uses cookies and similar technologies, including for audience measurement (analytics). Non-essential cookies are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

6. Newsletter form data (Contact Form 7)

Our newsletter form is provided by the Contact Form 7 plugin. When you submit it, the email address you enter and your explicit consent are recorded so that we can send you the communications you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time, or ask us to delete your data, by writing to contact@icopedia.org.

7. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Website.

8. Data retention

We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or until you withdraw your consent or request its deletion.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may also withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact contact@icopedia.org.

10. Third parties

We share data with the service providers strictly necessary to operate the Website, in particular Google (Tag Manager, Analytics). We do not sell your personal data.
